"I'll Fly Away #2"
I combine vivid colors and whimsical stories to create free-form hand embroideries and improvised art quilts. Tales of colorful birds, fanciful landscapes, and that mysterious house nestled in a garden evolve as I improvise the design and gently pull thread through fabric. The warmth of cloth, the colors of thread, and the textural surface entice me to create joyful work and play at the same time.
