Lovely as a Tree
When creating these art quilts depicting trees, I used hand-dyed and reclaimed silk fabrics. Silk threads (used to weave the fabric) are made from the cocoons of silkworms that eat the leaves of mulberry trees. In using this finest of textiles, silk, it feels like I’m returning it to its first life on a lovely tree.
