I’ll Fly Away #11: Clotho
14″ W x 21″ H
In Greek mythology, Clotho was one of the three Moirai goddesses who decided the fate of humans. Clotho spins the thread of life. Sister Lachesis measures the length of that life. And Atropos chooses the manner of death and ends the lives of mortals by cutting their threads.
I’ll Fly Away #11: Clotho is an improvised design created with hand-dyed silk fabrics and hand-embroidered with cotton threads dyed by the artist.
